In The Beginning

Verse 1

In the beginning before the world's dawn.

There was nothing but darkness, nothing but God.

Then God the creator said let there be light.

The light was called day & darkness became the night.

Then God looked upon the world divided it in two.

Above was the sky, below the ocean blue.

The sky to give air, the sky to bring light.

The ocean for water, water the giver of life.

The stars & the moon to light up the night.

The sun to give warmth, to rule over day.

The moon for the night, in darkness to show us the way.

Then God made the birds, to fill the empty sky.

Dolphins & Starfish, Whales & the Barramundi.

Then God made the animals to live on the land.

All shapes & sizes, tiny & grand.

Then God made us, woman & man.

To care for the animals, to care for all of the land.
